The Sarwari Qaderi Silsila is an Islamic spiritual path for inner purification, building towards character perfection and attaining Divine Love.
Our Silsila (spiritual heritage) takes many of its spiritual practices from traditional a traditional Sufi-Qaderi lineage. This means that it closely follows the spiritual teachings of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani, who is the spiritual guide to all Sufi orders. Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (Rahmatullahi Alayh) is a central figure in Islamic history and plays a key role in esoteric and spiritual matters.
The teachings of Islam and love for the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa salam) are central to the doctrine of all Sufi orders.
The Sarwari Qaderi chain traces its roots back to the great Punjabi saint, Hazrat Sultan Bahu (Rahmatullahi Alayh). His piety, devotion, love and seeking Divine instruction for many years, led him to spiritually connect with Nabi Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa salam). Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa salam) then blessed Hazrat Sultan Bahu (Rahmatullahi Alayh) and showed him spiritual Love and affection. After this, in the spiritual meeting, Nabi Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa salam) then introduced Hazrat Sultan Bahu (Rahmatullahi Alayh) to Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (Rahmatullahi Alayh) to further instruct and train Hazrat Sultan Bahu (Rahmatullahi Alayh) in attaining perfection along the spiritual path. Thus, Sarwari refers directly to Nabi Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa salam) and his Sunnah, and Qaderi to the codified and consolidated teachings of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (Rahmatullahi Alayh) which allow one to emulate the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa salam).
The blessing of the Sarwari Qaderi spiritual order, is the unique ability to be granted entry into the court of our beloved Nabi Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa salam). Thus, the Shuyukh of our silsila hold a special place for us, in that they are more than teachers of Divine love and spiritual instruction because the shuyukh of this order are uniquely blessed to allow each lover of Nabi Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa salam) the opportunity to enter into Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa salam)’s presence.
